Working Principle of HGM Ultra Fine Grinding Mill

The HGM series micro powder grinding mill is composed of a main unit, classifier, powder collector, dust cleaner, blower, muffler, sound-proof room, crusher, bucket elevator, storage hopper, and vibrating feeder, all working in harmony to deliver superior results.

Materials, once crushed by the hammer crusher, are transformed into smaller particles and delivered to the storage hopper by an elevator, distributed evenly to the upper plate by the vibrating feeder and sloping feeding pipe.

As the grinding mill operates, the main bearing and each dial are powered by the electromotor of the main equipment via a reducer, setting the grinding rollers in motion within the ring channels, driven by the dial through the plunger. Centrifugal force guides materials to the edge of the turn plate and into the grinding chambers where they undergo repeated pressing, crushing, and grinding by the rollers, transforming them into micro powder over multiple layers. The process continues until the materials reach the desired micro powder consistency.

The high-pressure air blower functions tirelessly, drawing air within the grinding mill and cycling the airflow along with the crushed materials to the classifier, where the high-speed impeller screens the airflow: ensuring only materials of qualified particle size pass through, sending unqualified particles back for regrinding. Qualified particles join the airflow into the cyclone powder collector. Most qualified powders descend and exit through the discharging valve at the base, while a minor portion moves with airflow to the dust cleaner, adhering to filter bags. These fine powders are shaken free by the sudden pulse of high-pressure gas, as controlled by the pulse valve, before being conveyed for final packaging. Clean air is ultimately released from the muffler's air outlet.
