Working Principle of HGM Ring Roller Grinding Mill

The HGM series micro powder grinding mill is an ingenious assembly consisting of the main unit, classifier, powder collector, dust cleaner, blower, muffler, sound-proof room, crusher, bucket elevator, storage hopper, and vibrating feeder, all working seamlessly together.

Initially, large materials are crushed by a hammer crusher into smaller pieces, then sent to a storage hopper via an elevator, and evenly distributed onto the upper plate of the turn plate by a vibrating feeder through a sloping feeding pipe.

During operation, the grinding mill's main bearing and each dial are driven by the electromotor of the main equipment through a reducer, causing the grinding rollers to roll in the ring channels under the dial's influence via plungers. This centrifugal force guides materials to the edge of the turn plate and into the grinding chambers where they undergo multiple cycles of pressing, crushing, and grinding by the rollers, forming exquisite micro powder through continuous processing.

The high-pressure air blower induces a constant airflow within the grinding mill, ensuring that the crushed materials are guided to the classifier, where the high-speed impeller determines particle size eligibility: Unqualified particles are returned for further grinding, while those that meet the criteria are transported to the cyclone powder collector with the airflow. The majority of qualified powders descend and are expelled via the discharging valve at the bottom. Meanwhile, a small portion of fine powders travels with the airflow to the dust cleaner, adhering to the filter bags. The sudden pulse of high-pressure gas causes vibrations that dislodge these powders, which are collected and conveyed for packaging. Finally, clean air is released through the muffler.
