Working Principle of HGM Ring Roller Grinding Mill

The HGM series micro powder grinding mill comprises a comprehensive and sophisticated assembly, including the main unit, classifier, powder collector, dust cleaner, blower, muffler, sound-proof room, crusher, bucket elevator, storage hopper, and vibrating feeder, all working in harmony.

After initial crushing by the hammer crusher, large materials are transformed into smaller pieces, which are then transported to the storage hopper via the elevator and uniformly fed to the upper distribution plate of the turn plate by the vibrating feeder and sloping feeding pipe.

Once operational, the grinding mill's main bearing and each dial are powered by the electromotor of the main equipment through a reducer, ensuring synchronized functionality as the grinding rollers roll harmoniously within the ring channels, driven by the dial through plunger action. Centrifugal force transports materials to the edge of the turn plate, directing them into the grinding chambers where they undergo repeated pressing, crushing, and grinding by the rollers. The materials descend into multiple layers to be continuously crushed and ground into ultra-fine micro powder, achieving desired consistency and finesse.

The high-pressure air blower draws in air consistently within the grinding mill, facilitating the movement of airflow that carries crushed materials to the classifier, where the high-speed impeller accurately sieves the airflow: particles that do not meet size requirements fall back for re-grinding, while correctly sized particles are conveyed to the cyclone powder collector with air. Most qualified powders descend and are released through the discharge valve at the bottom. A minor fraction of fine powders, propelled by airflow, reaches the dust cleaner, adhering to the filter bags' surface. The sudden vibration of these bags, triggered by instant high-pressure gas ejections controlled by the pulse valve, causes the fine powders to fall. Materials from these two sources are collected by the bottom conveyor and packed as finished powders. Furthermore, filtered clean air is safely emitted from the muffler's air outlet.
